This division provides the full range of law enforcement services including patrol, traffic enforcement, and problem-oriented policing. Various operational grants are also included in this division.
Command
The Operations Division is led by Commander Daniel Healy. Commander Healy started his law enforcement career in 2003 with the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD). While working LAPD Commander Healy worked patrol assignments throughout south and east Los Angeles. Commander Healy served in specialized assignments including Training Evaluations and Management II, where he worked on a team to develop a department-wide use of force, complaint and risk management tracking system. While at LAPD, Commander Healy worked in the Emergency Operations Division, where he helped to train and implement plans for large-scale incidents. Commander Healy reached the rank of Police Officer 3 with the LAPD, when he decided to relocate to the Bay Area to be closer to his family. Commander Healy was hired as a Police Sergeant by the Suisun City Police Department in 2012. Commander Healy served as a patrol sergeant and Special Operations Sergeant. As the Special Operations Sergeant, Commander Healy supervised investigations, code enforcement, School Resource Officer, and citizen volunteers. Commander Healy previously served as the marine unit and field training program sergeant.
Commander Healy is a graduate of the POST Sherman Block Supervisory Leadership Institute and has a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice-Homeland Security Administration. Commander Healy was promoted to the position of Police Commander in September 2018.
