Teen Police Academy

The Teen Police Academy is sponsored by the Suisun City Police Department to further enhance the relationship between teens and police as part of our commitment to working in partnership with the community. The Suisun City Police Department was the first police department in California to offer a Teen Police Academy.

What is the Teen Police Academy

The Teen Academy is a six (6) week interactive program that provides Teens with an inside look at local law enforcement.  It is designed to introduce Teens to a variety of Law Enforcement topics taught by Police personnel and veteran Police Officers.

  • Learn more about police work
  • Experience what it is like making a traffic stop
  • Learn how to process a crime scene with a CSI officer and lift fingerprints
  • See how 911 dispatchers answer emergency calls and dispatch officers


Applicants must be 15 to 17 years of age and possess at least a 2.5 grade point average and be a resident of Suisun City.
