Security Alarms

In 2007, the Suisun City Council enacted an alarm ordinance to regulate the installation and monitoring of security alarm systems as well as the response to false alarms. The purpose of the ordinance is to reduce the number of false alarms and the diversion of limited public safety resources from regularly assigned duties such as crime prevention, law enforcement and emergency responses.

Alarm User Permits

All alarm users must register their alarm with the Police Department. You may apply for an alarm user permit online through the E-Services section of our website. Upon approval, your alarm permit will be e-mailed to you.
